History of the Fisherman Out Of Ireland Brand:
Fisherman Out of Ireland was founded by the renowned family business Blarney Woollen Mills in 1991. They are a close-knit team of 43 people at the forefront of Irish knitwear design and many of them have been working on the creation of Fisherman for over 25 years.
From first stitch to final print, every piece in the entire men's and women's collection is made in the knitwear mill in Kilcar, County Donegal, a small Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) village steeped in textile tradition and nestled between the Derryveagh mountains and the wild Atlantic Ocean.
It is this majestic environment, along with the local fishing communities, that constantly fuels the inspiration for new yarns, colors and styles for each new collection.
